Behind The Design: Project Trevino

From start to finish, this project located in the Siena Community of Summerlin, NV was a top-rated favorite from the My Favorite Design team. When you work with amazing clients AND get the job done in a speedy time frame, well that makes for the perfect combo! Come behind the scenes as we dive deeper behind the strategy and planning of Project Trevino.
Meeting Trevino

Every project begins with the initial meeting with the client and this was one of our favorite meet-ups to date. With a fabulous eye for detail and a great smile, our client was fantastic from start to finish for this home remodel. He told us he wanted his newly purchased home in Las Vegas to feel sophisticated, elegant, and welcoming all while having that touch of peace and serenity in every room. Our client brought over his art collection he's spent years purchasing as well as ornate furniture pieces from his Orange County home; we knew we wanted to incorporate these elements into the newly designed floor plan while bringing in more modern touches, too. The goal of this project was to keep the layout of the home while updating the floors, surround-sound systems, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen. laundry room and pantry walk-through, as well as the primary closet and living room dining room combo. No tile was unturned in this project and our design team's goal was to have this home ready for move-in in just a few short weeks. Check out below for the before photo of this guest bedroom suite.

It Starts With Samples

After we walked through our client's home and presented some initial ideas for the remodel, we went on to wrangle up samples at Las Vegas World Market as well as Elan Collections. The vibe for this home was contemporary yet comfortable with tones of crisp whites and soothing neutrals throughout. After a few days of presentations, mood boards, and private shopping at showrooms with our client, we were then ready for demo day! Before every demo day, we make sure our client is aware of pricing, their estimated move-in day, as well as any other details that may need to be addressed before tearing into their home. It's crucial for our clients to be in the know about every last detail of their home's progress in order to keep them happy and excited for their future oasis. Check out below for the before photo of this home's living room.

Demo Day

Demo days are always so much fun because it's that giant leap towards finally bringing someone their dream home! Our construction crew tore down old tiling, uprooted the flooring in every room, repainted the entire house, and even updated the front door. They worked around the clock to bring our client's home back to life and our wallpaper guy even set out to install beautiful wall dressings in the laundry room, primary bedroom, primary en suite bathroom, guest room bathroom, and guest bedroom. These looks truly completed the look of this home and we love these vibrant designs from Thibaut and Vahallan. Both are great choices for any room and wallpaper really gives that extra touch of WOW in every space. Every square inch of the kitchen and adjacent rooms were updated with sleek hardware, cabinetry, as well as appliances that made this home transform from drab to FAB. Check out below for the before photo of the primary en suite bathroom.

Move-In Day

Last but not least, we arrive to move-in day where our clients finally get the grand reveal of their new home! Our team brings in every piece of furniture along with the installation of artwork and lighting in order to ensure every nook and cranny of our projects are completely finished before the arrival of our clients. We lined the main hallway of this home with our client's artwork, still intact in their beautiful antique frames and we even re-upholstered our client's sleigh bed that was amazing to begin with. Keeping certain items in the home intact like the sleigh bed frame keeps costs down yet allows our design team to reinvent their overall looks. We love how cohesive this home feels, all while displaying our client's personal treasures and collections from around the world that truly make this home feel like his.
