How To : Design The Perfect Fireplace

Tis' the season for gathering around the fireplace and staying warm. We're diving into 3 easy ways to transform your fireplace into the focal point of winter celebrations this year! From two-story creations to simple mantles, we're bringing light to some of our favorite designs over the years. Read more below for your next fireplace inspiration.
Go Big or Go Home

Starting off strong with this Anthem Country Club fireplace by MFD, this two-story masterpiece is perfect for making a WOW statement. As soon as you walk through the front doors, you are entranced by this white marble piece of art. If you want to make a grand entrance, opt for a two-story fireplace that replaces a wall-mounted TV or hanging artwork and let it speak for itself. We love how this fireplace ties the entire room together and it also serves as a great talking point.
Off To The Side

Some clients like having a television or other focal points in their liviing rooms and dens, so in this Summerlin remodel, we kept the fireplace off to the side. We installed custom cabintery below the television to hide any wires and extra remotes. Then we replaced the outdated facade of the fireplace with a more modern stone that plays a huge role in making this space cohesive with the adjacent kitchen. Our crew then installed a remote-controlled fireplace that also gives off a modern feel, but keeps the elegance in the room. This fireplace design is perfect for those who have a small area to the side of their TV that is needing some TLC. Instead of hanging another piece of art, try out this single piece of stone from floor to ceiling with the fireplace at the bottom!
Combine The Two

As designers, we love coming up with innovative ways to break the mold and this Ascaya home remodel is at the top of our list. This fireplace + TV combination is the ultimate Las Vegas living look and we love how simple yet impactful this space is. Family and friends can enjoy this living room throughout the entire year and opt for the fireplace to be turned on in the colder months without the fireplace itself overwhelming the space for the rest of the year. The stone tile is also a great way to keep that cool look and feel that the rest of the home exudes.
