Setting The Table: An MFD Thanksgiving
It's that time of year again to gather around the table with your loved ones and enjoy the merriment of the holiday season! Grab your best place settings and pop the turkey in the oven because we're going through our 3 tips for hosting the perfect Thanksgiving. Read more for MFD's seasonal post.
1. A Cohesive Centerpiece
When it comes to setting the table, a cohesive centerpiece is key. In order to play with color schemes, textures, and linens on the table, you have to play off of your centerpiece for an eye-catching setting. We love a centerpiece that has oranges, reds, and greens in order to bring the beauty of fall to the indoors but don't be afraid to play around with purples, blues, or even yellows! Whatever the case may be, allow your centerpiece to be the focal point of your table & have your place settings be a reflection of it. This will allow your guests to enjoy their meal while looking onto a beautiful talking piece while simultaneously enjoying their homemade feast!
2. Setting Up The Kitchen
When it comes to Thanksgiving, being prepared in the kitchen is a must. Two things to keep in mind: you should have a station(s) for prepping the meal and you should have a station(s) for serving the meal. You want to set up your kitchen in an efficient way so that your guests can enjoy the meal on time and you can sit back and relax with your loved ones! By utilizing the kitchen space in a prep phase as well as a serving phase, this allows your kitchen to remain tidy, organized, and useful for Thanksgiving. Bonus tip, if you have counter stool seating around the kitchen island, you can utilize the edge of the island as more place settings or as the drink station for your guests!
3. Make an Entrance
Spice up your home entrance for Thanksgiving and become the hostess with the mostest this holiday season! A festive entryway makes your guests excited for what's in store and you don't have to make it a complicated design. Opt for simplistic "Welcome" signs, Fall florals, and wicker baskets for an easy DIY project that will last all month. We love a good entryway for the holiday season and allowing creativity to shine through is always a must. Run down to your nearest craft store and don't forget to decorate the exterior of your home!
We hope you all have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving. Be sure to try out these design tips for your next holiday party this season!
