Designmuseum Denmark
This wonderful museum was our favorite one of the trip for its easy to walk exhibits, fun-filled artwork, and beautiful sculptures! Enjoy these exhibits for the afternoon and be sure to check their seasonal displays. We loved getting a taste of Copenhagen in every room & then we were off to lunch next door. Copenhagen has various museums that are within walking distance from one another so be sure to check some of these out for your next visit!
The Grand Markets
Enjoy farm to table eating at the markets centrally located in the city! With fresh food, simmering teas, and an assortment of flowers, these markets are great for everyday groceries, tasting local foods, and walking amongst the historic buildings. We loved tasting the Dutch Smörgåsbord selections & don't miss out on their seafood items, the catch of the day is as fresh as it gets!
Staying Central
If you research ahead of time, you'll be able to find affordable hotels centrally located in the city. We loved our stay near the famous Nyhavn Canal which is full of amazing shops & restaurants while overlooking the colorful buildings. Being in this area allowed us to be able to walk to the main shopping districts with ease, we were a 5 minute car ride from the famous Little Mermaid Statue, and a 2 minute walk from the Copenhagen Palace! There are various parks to walk through and an assortment of cafes to explore. We highly recommend staying in the Nyhavn Canal district for a more local feel.
One thing's for sure, you'll never be bored when visiting Copenhagen! With so many activities and tours, local hot spots, and fresh new finds, you could spend a week in this beautiful city and want to stay longer. We loved the various food and wine while dancing the nights away at local discos! If you're planning a trip to Copenhagen soon, then don't miss out on the various oporutntIes in the city.
