A few years ago, we had the privilege of renovating and designing this Lake Las Vegas home that brought inspiration from California living to the Las Vegas Valley. With coastal and serene textures, this home was transformed into a peaceful oasis in the desert that is jam packed with luxury living. Come along as we go behind the design of this MFD Home!

The inside as well as the exterior of this home was renovated by My Favorite Design. We updated the exterior by repaving the driveway, installing new double-car garages, adding stonework to the facade, and planting lush greenery to bring in a pop of color. The exterior of this home is inviting and has great curb appeal, which is important when renovating any home! First impressions matter so opt for greenery and stonework in your next home remodel and you'll be one step closer to luxury living!

We found great coastal accessories at Global Views as well as Uttermost that brought in the blue palette that flows throughout the rest of the home. We kept the entryway sleek and sophisticated without crowding the narrow hallway, which allowed us to decorate the walls with fun artwork and neutral tones. We painted the interior of the home in Alabaster, one of our go-to paints, which kept the feel of the home serene and calm.

Our client wanted a home office as well as a home gym, which were the perfect additions to the extra space in the home! We decided to turn the outdated basement into a functional, airy workout room complete with equipment storage, a mirrored wall, calm uplighting, and a steam shower. Upstairs, the home office ties into the coastal flow of the home with dark hardwood floors, custom floor to ceiling drapery, and plenty of space for displaying awards, family photos, and more. These two rooms have become the most used in the entire home and we love that our designs brought our client so much joy!

The main family room has a California feel to it and we loved renovating the fireplace into a focal point for the room! With pieces from Global Views and Uttermost, this room is comfortable yet elegant and the custom gray drapes tie in the browns and neutral tones of the space. The sliding glass doors tie in the indoor/outdoor living space that look onto the beautiful waters of Lake Las Vegas. Our client can enjoy family gatherings at any moment & we love how durable the tile and hardwood floors are for this space! If you're looking to combine tile and hardwood in the same space, then opt for a similar tone that allows the two to mesh well together, instead of being opposing materials as well as colors.

Our client wanted their primary bathroom to be cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. We opted for a soaking tub below custom shades that would allow privacy all year round as well as relaxation after a long day at work. We kept the general layout of the bathroom the same, but we updated the tile work as well as countertops and vanities to bring a cleaner look to the space. The white crown molding above allows for the ceiling to feel complete and the renovated shower comes with a shower bench, multiple shower heads, as well as a steam feature. The updated lighting is calm and soothing, which helps bring a much more relaxing feel to this space.

One of the main requests from our client was to have enough space for entertaining friends & family. We chose custom upholstered counter stools as well as a brand new kitchen table and chairs so that there would be plenty of seating and options for guests! The kitchen was renovated with brand new granite countertops and updated appliances so that our client can be talking to loved ones in the living room just across the way! This open concept living and dining space is the perfect layout for this client and we loved how durable and luxurious these custom upholstered pieces turned out!
